Our People

Compliance Fire Alarms is owned by Russell Penn - a Cantabrian through and through, who has spent his whole life in here in Christchurch. Russell completed his apprenticeship as an industrial electrician before moving into the fire alarm industry, working for 5 years in technical and then management roles before establishing Compliance Fire Alarms Ltd in 1995. He has completed an NZIM Diploma in Management, holds an L4 Detection and Alarms qualification, an electrical practicing license and was in the first intake of IQP's for the South Island region.

From our offices in Woolston our Office Manager Glenda Le Breton oversees our service & BWOF operations and is assisted by Debbie and Claudia.

Together we manage a team of around 15 trained technicians, servicing fire protection systems exclusively within the Canterbury region.

Scott Vertogen runs our contracting team while Andy, Tim, Jeremy, Sam, Chris, Herc and Dave will be the people that you will see most often - testing and servicing your fire protection systems.
